November 19, 2025 (WASHINGTON) – U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement urging an “immediate stop” to the violence and “severe atrocities” occurring in Sudan, referring to the situation as the “largest Humanitarian Crisis.”
In a statement posted on his social media account, Trump stated that Arab leaders, such as the Saudi Crown Prince, had requested him to leverage his power to get involved.
Trump pledged to collaborate with important Middle Eastern countries to put an end to the violence and bring stability to Sudan. He specifically mentioned Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, as well as “other Middle Eastern allies,” as nations he would work with.
He further characterized Sudan as a “Great Civilization, Culture” that has “gone wrong,” yet can be improved through the collaboration of nations, including those in the region “of immense wealth.”
The declaration highlights the urgent requirement for “Food, doctors, and all other necessities” within the nation.

The file related to Sudan was a major issue for Trump during his meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday and Wednesday, representing the strongest involvement from Washington since the conflict began in the African nation in April 2023.
The Sovereignty Council mentioned that the Sudanese Government “applauds the initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, towards achieving peace in Sudan.”
The declaration highlighted the Sudanese government’s “genuine willingness to interact” with the two nations in order to attain the peace that the people of Sudan are hoping for. It further stated, “They are also appreciated for their focus, ongoing efforts to halt the violence in Sudan.”
Nevertheless, the Sudanese government opposes the involvement of the United Arab Emirates in the Quad group that is facilitating the crisis in Sudan. It alleges that the UAE is offering military assistance to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and providing them with fighters from different nations to battle the Sudanese Army.
The Quad group’s attempts to mediate and end the severe conflict in Sudan, which has been ongoing since mid-April 2023, remain unsuccessful.
The Sudanese military refuses to agree to a humanitarian ceasefire suggested by the Quad group unless specific requirements set by the armed forces leadership are fulfilled. These requirements involve the removal of the RSF from the regions they control; otherwise, the military will keep fighting to drive them out through force.
