Tonali to Spurs, Fernandes Deal, Liverpool Steal Newcastle

Top 20 Transfer Rumours in the Premier League

As the summer transfer window continues to generate a lot of buzz, we are here to sift through the noise and highlight the most promising rumors. Each day, we rank the top 20 transfer rumors involving Premier League clubs, with higher rankings indicating greater likelihood of becoming official deals.

20) Manuel Ugarte – Manchester United to AC Milan

Manchester United have reportedly offered the Uruguayan midfielder to AC Milan. The Italian club has already helped United save some money on Ruben Amorim’s compo. Given that Amorim worked with Ugarte at United, it's likely he would advise Milan to reject the offer. However, this move could still happen if Milan decides to take the risk. But for now, United is unlikely to let go of Ugarte easily.

19) Darwin Nunez – Al-Hilal to Liverpool

Liverpool fans might be longing for a return of "Captain Chaos" after a dull season. If Nunez and Al-Hilal agree to terminate their contract, this could become a reality. However, it's hard to see this happening, as Nunez was left out of the second half of last season. We remain skeptical, but we're open to being proven wrong.

18) Marcus Rashford – Manchester United to Barcelona

Barcelona has refused a £26 million offer for Rashford and has already spent three times that amount on a rival for an England spot. This is a clear slap in the face, even if there are hints that Barca believes they can convince Rashford to stay. However, United is unlikely to consider such an offer, so Rashford is expected to move elsewhere.

17) Lewis Hall – Newcastle to Chelsea

Chelsea is linked with Hall following Cucurella's move to Real Madrid. The Newcastle defender is being eyed by several clubs, including Chelsea. A return to his boyhood club might make sense, but we suspect Chelsea will try to appear more strategic than simply buying back a player they sold three years ago.

16) Adam Wharton – Crystal Palace to Chelsea

The Palace midfielder hasn't been a big topic this summer, but both Liverpool and Chelsea are closely linked. However, both clubs have issues to resolve before they can make a serious offer to Palace.

15) Enzo Fernandez – Chelsea to Real Madrid

Fernandez was reportedly envious when Cucurella made his move. Real Madrid could yet come back for the Argentina midfielder, but we don’t see them paying the kind of money Chelsea would demand for a player they paid £107 million for in 2023. His behavior towards the end of the window could be interesting.

14) Crysencio Summerville – West Ham to Manchester United

This is a fresh rumor, with United talking to West Ham about their winger. Although it's not one of United's top priorities, they see an opportunity due to West Ham's relegation concerns. Summerville, currently starting for Netherlands at the World Cup, is valued at £50 million, and United can afford to wait for the Hammers to reduce their asking price.

13) Morgan Rogers – Aston Villa to Arsenal

At least half of the Big Six is interested in Rogers, who Villa is open to selling for the right price—above £80 million. This seems like the most likely move for Rogers this summer.

12) Sandro Tonali – Newcastle to Tottenham Hotspur

Tonali's agent has been trying to create a move out of Newcastle since the start of the year, with Spurs being the latest club linked. While it could be a ruse to spark action elsewhere, there does seem to be some basis in these reports

. However, Spurs haven’t even started on the hard part: negotiating with Newcastle.

11) James Trafford – Manchester City to Newcastle

After being signed by Pep Guardiola a year ago, Trafford knows he needs to get away from the City bench this summer. Newcastle doesn't hold a grudge for turning him down earlier, but they are not the only club interested. Spurs are also being linked, and this could come down to who creates room for Trafford fastest.

10) Hayden Hackney – Middlesbrough to Everton

This deal seemed almost done, but Boro and Everton are still far apart on the fee. Everton rejected an £18 million package, while Boro wants closer to £20 million plus add-ons, which puts enough distance between them for other clubs to swoop.

9) Guglielmo Vicario – Tottenham Hotspur to Juventus

Juve looked at Alisson and Jordan Pickford, then turned to Emiliano Martinez. Vicario is now in their sights because he's the most available of the four Premier League stoppers. Villa has proven themselves to be no pushovers when it comes to Martinez, but Spurs would be receptive to an offer for Vicario after a poor season.

8) Yan Diomande – RB Leipzig to Liverpool

Liverpool may regret not signing Diomande before the World Cup, as his price could rise if he maintains his form. PSG is also interested, but Liverpool is offering more money. Unless Diomande's World Cup form tempts a rival to offer silly money, this should be enough.

7) Jack Grealish – Manchester City to Everton

Grealish enjoyed his season at Everton, and the Toffees enjoyed having him. Another year on loan with the Toffees seems to suit all parties. However, we aren't ruling out something coming out of the blue for the England star.

6) Mateus Fernandes – West Ham to Manchester United

Fernandes is the most likely of the two Hammers players to be linked with United, as the Red Devils need midfielders more. However, the only way this gets done quickly is if another suitor makes a decisive offer, prompting United to act rather than squeeze the relegated Irons.

5) Luka Vuskovic – Tottenham Hotspur to Brighton

Our assumption was that Brighton and Tottenham would find common ground over Vuskovic, given the two clubs’ motivation to sign each other's players. However, Spurs have rejected an offer of £35 million for a player yet to wear their colors competitively, and Brighton isn’t willing to go higher. This could lead to a stand-off.

4) Victor Munoz – Osasuna to Liverpool

Munoz was identified by Newcastle as their preferred replacement for Anthony Gordon. They wanted a quick deal, but Liverpool swooped in and agreed on personal terms, as well as paying the €40 million release clause in his Osasuna contract.

3) Elliot Anderson – Nottingham Forest to Manchester City

City has seen a couple of offers rejected, the latest being £106 million plus add-ons that could take the fee to £120 million. It's hard to see City walking away after going this far, so this deal will likely get done, though it won’t be swift.

2) Jan Paul van Hecke – Brighton to Tottenham Hotspur

Third time lucky for Spurs, with a £52 million offer reportedly accepted by Brighton. However, we wonder if the Seagulls might yet make things awkward for as long as Spurs continue to insist on a similar amount for Vuskovic.

1) Ederson – Atalanta to Manchester United

All done bar the signing, apparently. United seems to have secured a good deal for a midfielder who could prove to be one of their most important signings of a busy summer.
